This year marked the 10th anniversary of Refugees International’s New York Circle. On October 16, 2012, RI’s friends and supporters gathered to celebrate this occasion. Unilever hosted the evening reception at ITS Columbus Circle apartment, which featured stunning views of Central Park. During the evening’s program, RI Vice Chair Sam Waterston presented our inaugural Exceptional Service Award to world-renowned journalist Christiane Amanpour for her body of work highlighting humanitarian issues. Dr. Michel Gabaudan, RI’s president, also briefed guests on our latest work on behalf of Syrian refugees and our continued advocacy in the Horn of Africa.
Refugees International (RI) advocates for lifesaving assistance and protection for displaced people and promotes solutions to displacement crises.
