Kenya’s highlands are bisected by the Great Rift Valley, a fertile plateau in the western portion of the country. The area comprises one of the most productive agricultural regions in Africa. The highlands are also the site of Mount Kenya, the highest point in Kenya (and the second highest in Africa).
