Malnutrition, often the result of illness, afflicts 188 people in Nyabiheke camp, mostly children. These children are awaiting food supplements in the nutritional feeding center. The camp has a large medical facility, staffed by an American doctor and other health professionals, including a midwife. It offers HIV/AIDS testing and therapy, along with reproductive health counseling and birth control. Malaria is the biggest health challenge.
