On April 30, communities across the nation mobilized to demand that our government act to stop the genocide in Darfur. Thousands of people attended the Rally to Stop Genocide in Washington, DC to hear George Clooney, Senator Barack Obama, Olympic medalist Joey Cheek and dozens of prominent celebrities, politicians, religious leaders and others speak out. Here, Refugees International supporters walk to the rally, which was organized by the Save Darfur Coalition, an alliance of more than 155 faith-based, humanitarian and human rights organizations.
