Refugees International visited Nadim’s family in his house in Srifa. “My father’s house is completely destroyed,” he told us. “It’s taken my wife three days to clean up the house so it doesn’t look like the outside! We are afraid to allow our children to play outside because of all the unexploded ordnance (UXO) and cluster bombs that are everywhere. We do not allow them anywhere without us.” For the time being, the father, mother, and sister live with Nadim in his house. The family posed for a photo for us in front of their garage which was damaged by the bombs that fell in the orchards across the street from his house.
