Take Action

TELL CONGRESS TO RE-INTRODUCE THE INT'L VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT

One out of every three women globally will be beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in her lifetime. The International Violence Against Women Act (I-VAWA) will establish an overall and integrated approach by the US government to combat violence against women and girls internationally.

Urge your Congressional representative to support a comprehensive vision to address the problem of violence against women.

URGE PRESIDENT OBAMA TO MEET THE NEEDS OF DISPLACED PEOPLE IN SUDAN

While the Obama Administration has announced a plan for peace in Sudan, there still needs to be a greater focus on access for international aid programs and gender-based violence programs in Darfur; protection of civilians; and prioritization of basic services and security for people returning home from years in exile.

Tell President Obama to implement his comprehensive strategy for Sudan and meet the needs of displaced people in all of Sudan.
