Toronto Star: Concerns Mounting for Burma's Boat People

According to a Rohingya rights group, during the past month 550 of nearly 1,000 Rohingya who were towed out to sea in dilapidated boats without engines may have drowned. Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has fiercely denied deliberately abandoning the migrants and promised a full investigation. But his army chief told reporters Thailand offered food and water but couldn't look after them long term.
